I am happy to report this is not even close to being the truth. There are many, many successful tech companies with female founders.

Incredible women who can inspire us all to try a little harder with that idea we’ve been sitting on.

I would have loved to share them all with you, however, I have had to cut it down to 6 of my favorites.

These hand picked companies show the breadth of talent and ideas. I hope this list will inspire you as much as it has me.

The concept is simple, you can rent a designer outfit for a fraction of the cost of purchasing to wear to an event. Then when you’re done you just send it back. It works on a subscription so you can take as much as you like and always be in style.

Honestly, it is my go-to place for business training and advice. The articles are actionable and well put together. It’s a must for any professional looking to uplevel their game.

  • Established in: 2012
  • Valuation: In 2018 The Skimm raised $12MM in capital investments. This is in addition to $8MM raised in 2016.


Bumble is probably the most widely known female-founded tech company on this list. The Bumble app is for dating.

  • Valuation: The company raised $21MM in 2016 and has continued to grow since.
